In some of our great ci'iea today 75 per cent cf the money paid in salaries goes inlo Roman Catholic pockets, and in many of these cities millions of dollai s in pnblic prop erly have been given to Roman Catholic hospitals, churches, schools and monk eries, as the pncee of votes and political scheming. Hence we ciaim that oce- third of the population can be called Protestant. From ISOO to 1SS0 the Komish church has increased twice as fast as the Protestant churches. The immigration to this country for ten years, ending in 1S90, was 5,250,000, and at least two-thirds were Romanut many of them ignorant. Let this thing go cn for twenty-fire years longer, and yon will fee this country in the same con dition, as far as the rights of Protestants are concerned, as Roman Catholic Spain and Anstria and South American reput lies are concerned. Remder the above evils, and there will be no work for the A. P. A."
