Daring the present term of court there lias been a greater number of case-; of a libidinona character, and more salacious testimony given than at any court here for years. Testimony in many cases has been given that would cause a blush of tbame to mantle the cheeks cf a courle tan. There arrived in New Yoik the other day from Atlanta, Miss Cornelia Seil-cIs, a reneral spinster, nearly 100 years old. whoisgoiDg to Gem-any to tlaim her share of a 0 million dollar tvtate. Sam Veatch has just come into pos session of a beautiful young canine, a pup of pure blood, and on being asked its name, we learn that I answered to tho name J of McKinlty. We presume be regarded McKiuley as a good pro tector of the American laboring man, and therefore named his pup after him, hoping that his pup would at some fu ture time be a good protector of himself and property. Sam, take good care of that pup, be bears an honored name, and when in 1S9G McKinley is installed into the presidential chair, be may tend for your pup, have him conveyed to-L Wasbington and installed as guardian o the treasury, thus preventing the assault of Cleveland upon it. A Peculiar Sight. Captain J. T. C. Nash returned from the Elliott creek mines, just over the California line from Applegatc jester day, says the 3Iedford Monitor. He brought with him a peculiarnnirmrl bom to a well-bred shepherd dog. The pup or cub is about six weeks old, and is about the size and color of a cinnamon bear of that age. The fur is long and bushy, the body bear-shaped, except the feet. The hair on the under side of the body is similar to that of its mother, The head is like a small lion in shape, being larger than an ordinary cub or pup. Whether the monstrosity is tho result of antenatal fright or a cross is not known. Its development will be watched with interest. It is one of a litter of two, the other baving died.
