Van Winkle" over 8200 times, and his share of
the receipts has averaged .$400. per performance,,
which would make his total receipt from this
character over a million and a quarter. His share

From the New York Sun: Boueicault had one
failure In this city quite as pronounced as his
numerous successes. "Mimi," though carefully
produced at Wal lack's Theater, excited hilarity
