Last Saturday afternoon as two gen- tleinon were walking through the dense timber some distance southwest of Mar uam Gulch, they discovered the re mains of an unknown man. From ap jtenrances the man must have been dead nearly a year. A large round hole was made through thepkull in the center of the forehead, ami a revolver was found lying on his left breast It has not been ascertained whether ho was murdered or committed suicide. Our friend Jacob Mayer, who is a constant patron of the New North west and so, no wonder he prospers is home again with a very largo and well-selected stock of millinery and general merchandise, which he i3 pre pared to sell to dealers at prices to suit the limes. From long business associa tion with this gentleman we are enabled to recommend his house to the many ladies of our acquaintance in the inte rior towns who desire to purchase hand some and desirable stocks of millinery wherewith to deck the belles and mat rons who can all afford and will desire now hats and bouuets, now that wheat has "gone up."
