Policeman Thompson and Scheer arrested throe young men while in the act of smok ing opium in the lodging house man aged by Tom Scott, on Court street Marshal Carney has had the men under surveillance for several days lid yesterday, learning where they were stopping, ordered them und yr arrest. One of the men is a waiter, an other is a gambler recently arrived in the city, and the other is a Pen dleton boy.
