ern Pacific passenger waa held up
eight miles from here shortly after
midnight. Two men with lighted lan­
terns gave the danger signal. When
the train stopped the engineer and
tireman were held up and compelled
to uncouple the mail and express cars
and run two miles up the road, where
it was exploded with dynamite.

of the explosion. Posses have left
