Tlicsc flocks kept in- creasing very materially in Eastern Oregon until we had, in 1ST7, 1,893,550 sheep, ol which EAStcra Oregon possessed nearly two thirds, and Weslern and Southern Oregon the remainder. These figures have been tested by the wool product of 1ST8, -which realized upwards of 6.003.000 poands of wooL and as the average yield is about three poands to the sheep, the figures above giren are thus below the enr- rect aumber of sheep.
