Editor E. O. A certain blind man, who has been stopping at the Chemekcta at dif. ferent times for the past three months. Is circulating a story to the effect that there are a class of eople near Walla Walla who are generally called Mormons but call thcmtclvcs tnlllcnarlan. The blind man that tolls this strange tale came from Walla Walla not long since; he says that these people live wholly to themselves and have a ruler who claims to be God Almighty and has a son whom he calls Jesus Christ, and that this set of people believe that this boy will soon rule the universe. Thai they on ly keep enough of their earnings to sustain life and tbe balance goes to their Brigham or God and his son Jesus. Our reasons for making this tale public is that it has caused a great amount of Inquiry; people think strange that they never heard of such a class or people near Walla Walla befure; but the author claiming to have talked with ,ow anuposiuvwyaceru uia; !.- a tt f . . . a , , are such a community at said place. i vwaoiucaiiy, we oein r I , . aware that editors know everything, we thought by asking thc Mor we coald thus have a means of t n ,1cv1dS Ue curiolty of tbe people here 1 ,a talcal- Mr. editor plcac enlighten as.
