This paper is published in
really one of the best counties
of the State, and which yet con
tains much valuable public
land. The paper can be raadt
a valuable auxiliary to th
more speedy growth and settle
ment of the county, provided
a generous support is accorded
it by those who have poeitiv
interest in the welfare of this
portion of the State. The very '
hard times and great scarcity of
money will deter many from
subscribing for the paper.'Vho
under ordinary circumstances,
would willingly assist in main
taining the enterprise, by buy
ing their honey's wokth of
news, both notne and foreign.
The duty of all is to subecribs,
first, fo. a copy for home read

one copy to a friend in tb
States, that it may then be cir
culated among those who. de
sire to better their conditiea
by immigrating to a. better,
country. It is a notorious feet
that Oregon papers sent East
have brought hundreds of fam
ilies to our State. Besides
those friends left behind prefer
a paper sent to them every
week rather than a letter semi
yearly. Really it is in the
power of all to subscribe, as
we stand ready to receive from

The East Osegonian job of

any office in the State; having
a fast Euggles card press in
good order and condition, card
printing is made a stzcialtt.
The large assortment of wooe

we would deem it rn especial
