stato, I must dissent from this opinion. In
cutting wheat with tho credit', there is from
one to two bushels per acre left upon the
land aad this would bo partially lost. Be-
sides this, the wheat and the ripe seeds of
weeds, would be turned under together, and
would grow; up together; and the wheat
would ntaad Very irregularly upon the land,
being too thick in some places, and too thin
in others. Some havo supposed that by
Jiarrowing,.or dragging a brush over it, the
waslo wheat would bo scattered regularly ;
but this would not I am well satisfied, suc

tnko them off tho land to Keep iImtii from
rooting It up in its wot state, which I know
from experience, to Iks n great injury. I
would let tho land remain until April, 'May,
or Juno, when all tho weeds and waste whrut
would bo up. I would then turn under this
rich crop or vegetation, (which would bo an
.excellent manure) by deep ploughing.
r
have alwaya found deep ploughing the best
in urogon. It is certainly best lor my land.
1 would either sow tho laud in May .or Uiiic,
wjth the largo whito wheat, and 'id it re
