Canning Ful'it. The method for
canning fruit, as annexed, was recom
mended to the Institute Ciub by Mrs.
Powers, of Oswego county, N. Y.:
li I will suppose your fruit and glass
cans !iU ready. I prefer cans with
glass covers. I scald the fruit in a
i.iro tin pan, with juice or water to
rover it. I'ut a half a tea cup ot
told water into every can, and Oil up
with hot water. Now ciupty the; can
and till up with hot fruit, at;d then
.uiuilier, and so on. Let them stand
open till the hand can be held upon
them without luiniirg. As soon as
lilled cut, writing paper the sizo of the
can, one for each, and when cool slip
one over the fruit entiiviy, r.nd fill
up the can, on the top of the paper,
with boii.ii" juice, and seal at once.
In this way the fruit will never mold
ami it will keep any time. The
paper keeps the fruit lrom vising to
the top of the liquid. There is no

Profus of Wheat Raisisg. An
eastern writer on the above subject
cites to a farm in Minnesota as an in
stance of the profitableness of the
crop. Eighteen bushels peracre was

New Wagon Wheel. A beauti
ful invention is thus spoken of in the
Club reports: Sections of awheel
