In the many misrepresentations to
which I have been subjected by a por
tion of the Oregon prom, I think there
nover has been any that has contained
so many falsehoods in so short fcspace,
and were it not for the fact that thi
item, which I understand is being
c-'pied in many of the Pacific Coast
papers, tends ver) str,ong!y to injure
me in my profession by preventing
those who believe it, and who other
wise commit business matters to 111
hands from forwarding such business,
I would be slow to notice it.
Inasmuch, however, as such a para
graph, extensively copi-d and believed,

part from my usual custom, of not
noticing newspaper misrepresentations
and correct thesa misstatements.
