President Reames presided, with Councilmen Langell, Orth, Nickell and Ulrich pres ent. Ordinanco No. 70, for tho licensing of wash houses and laundries, was rend a third time and pluced on its final passage. Passed by a unanimous vote. Tlie Street Committee rejorted fa vorably on the petition of J. II. Huffer and others asking that Oregon street be declared a public highway to tl.e western boundary of the corporation. On motion, report of committee was adopted and prayer of petitioner granted. The following bills were prespnted and referred to the Finance Committee: M. Mtnsor, lamp chimneys, etc., 3,73; John Orth, wood, $4; D. W. Crosby, sundii&s, 1,50; K. Kuldi, stove, hard waic, etc., $33,25; Tiuief), publishing, $2,50; Sentinel, same, 2,50. Opening of bills for purchase of old town hall being in order, tho only one presented that of Mrs. Sarah Au toiirioh was opened. Tho price of fered (350) leing deemed fair, it was ordered that a deed be made to Mrs. Autenrieth upon payment of money. Recorder Nunan was ordered to post exhibit of town finances for the year just closing. It was orderl that ths annual elec tion for town officers be held at tho new city hall on tho 1st Tuesday in March, and that tho Recorder give due notice thereof. L. J. C. Duncan, It. S. Duiilap and J. It. Noil were ap pointed Judges and J. II. Huffer and C. J. Howard Clerks. Recorder Nunan was instructed to publish ordinance No. 70 in town pajiers.
