We think not. The gentlemen of the
Journal have inherited a very poor stock

Then, too, they have had n good educa
tion r they have an honorable profession
an unquestioned position in society. They
liuve many prejudices in their favor, many
ciHtoms and some laws. Indeed, with any

we think the editors of the Journal of Com
merce will come out ahead of thu negrois.

Journal of Commerce I
In the Apocalypse, among Hip Eccr's vis
ions was one of "a pale liorie: and his
name that fiat on him was Death, and Hell
followed with him." If the editors of tho
Journal of Commerce were to write a com
mentary, they would, no doubt, prove that
this vision meant the uprising of the negro
ini'e, riding down while folks, "and hell
,ollowiug."
