Tffi OREGON SENTINEL.
I'lTMD Sows TlMtivT. As the fatal disease
commonly called putrid tore throat Is raging In
toiao purl or our fair valley neatly all Hie
lime, and many of our homes aro made sad by
Itt mortality, I desire herein to prescribe a
specific and certain cure In all or nearly all
cases.
Prneripdim. Tako a lump of butter ni large
aia ladles' commou scwlnir thimble, caymne
pepper in much as a large pea, and svrupnnd
ttnegar In equal quantities tulllclcnt to till n
common sited teacup half-full) put these In-
gredlcnti together mid heat them till they boll
and when partly cooled add a llllc lobelia.
l)irtaiont.t tin l!cne Is either violent or
long standing, balhe tho feet well before an arm
Ore, and take freely or the syrup, keeping It as
warm as you can swallow, and lake It every
few minutes until It gives nllif. If the throat
Is not much tore, take It every Iwo or llirev
koars, but always lako It at the first symptoms If
possible. You can make It Into wax or candy
If you wish, for little children.
I used this syrup alone when I was attacked
severely a year since, and In two or Intra days
was well. 1 have personally known It tried In
at liast thirty cases, and It has i flee ted a per
manent cure In every case without d.ingir or
expense. II Is alike taultary with the joting as
well as Ihc old.
While I am now w riling many arc using It In
this vicinity w lib unfailing tucccts, as far as 1
have hiatd. After at lead thirty fair trials of
Itt virtue, 1 feel prepared to warrant II cflcclual
In all cases.
