T he boy who wantonly absents him self from school is to be pitied. The uture of such a young man is every- thing but promising. In this day, when an education is placed at his door al most without cost; when success is so dependent upon properly directed edu cation; it speaks ill of the future of any boy who fails to embrace the oppor tunity of acquiring knowledge. He thinks lightly of it now; but there will come a day when he will be brought to the full realization of having wasted his youth and impaired what might have been—a useful life.
