With the sad results achieved from the use of cheaper flour?
The ont, the highest triumph of cookery—the most useful of
all the arts; the other, a monument to wasted energy, blasted
hopes and poor judgment. But why continue the compari
son? If you have made the mistake, in the past, trying to
exist on inferior flour, redeem yourself by ordering Snowy
Butte flour only in future.

of their cinnabar claims, cut through

The

A short time ago a company of min
ing men organized for the purposes of
locating, developing and working
quicksilver or cinnabar claims in
southern Oregon. The Meadows dis
trict, where the company has five
claims, was the first to receive tbelr
attention. Of the«e, and of the score
of others that have since been located,
the Mayfield is supposed to be tbe
most valuable. Tbe original 10-foot
hole was the portion of a shift sunk
on what was supposed to be a crossing
on a new claim.
From this drifts
have been run each way, exposing a
10-foot vein of cinnauar, carrying
good value from wall to wall,
The
shaft itself is sunk in a chimney of
cinnabar ore that is thought to be
quite rich.
