Phil Metschan. state treasurer, has just completed th«* distribution of tbe interest arising from the common school fund, as made by th«* board of school land commis sioners, among the various counties <»f the state. The total number ot persons in this state I»etween tbe ages of 4 and 20 years is 105,621, and the total amount of funds sub ject to distribution was $153,151.90, giving to b county tbe sum of $1.45 per capita, the sain« ratio that it was iu 1890, although the number of children is 6,036 more, showing a healthy increase in the fund.
