C hristmas .—Next Thursday is Christmas Day and considerable preparation is being made everywhere for the appropriate observ- I ance of this event. Parties without number have been announced for both the 24th and 25th. The races will doubtless prove a prominent feature of the festivities in town. Religious services will be held at the Catholic Church only, where mass will be solemnized as I announced elsewhere.
