I t is stated that the only reliable
means of ridding the henroost and pig
eon loft of vermin is a preparation of
sulphur and carbon technically called
sulphuret of carbon. In France it ha*
been thoroughly tested, and it is said
that it works like a charm. It kill-
the insects which prey upon pigeons
and fowls without injuring the birds.
A bottle containing the solution will
last several days and the cost is small.
Put two ounces of the sulphate of car
ton in a bottle open at the mouth ami
hang it by a string in the hen-house.
At the end of eight days the taittle
should be refilled. The remedy is
said to be infallible. It as good as
claimed it should bo known to every
farmer’s wife and poultry raiser
throughout the country.

Its effects arc as wonderful and as
satisfactory as ever.
It restores gray or faded hair to its
youthful color.
It removes all eruptions, itclnng
and dandruff. It gives the head a
cooling, soothing sensation of great
comfort, and the scalp by its use
becomes white and clean.
By its tonic properties it restores
the capillary glands to their normal
vigor, preventing baldness, and mak
ing the hair grow thick and strong.
As a dressing, nothing has been
found so effectual or desirable.
