He was much dejected on being told that he would be taltKU to Fort Leavenworth. Evidently Joseph does not know how injudicious it would be for him to return to Idaho. He tells Gen. Miles that the trouble began with the death of a dear friend of his by the hand of a white man. This is a reference to the Indian who was killed in Wallowa valley some time since. It is said that Senator Sharon, of Nevada, when elected to the Senate supposed him self worth about $20,000,000. The failure Of the California Bank, death of Ralston and heavy shrinkage in stocks have so crippled him that his financial salvation is by no means assured. He is now in San Francisco attending to his private affairs instead of fill ing his seat in the Senate. Should the Re publicans insist on his occupying his seat» he will resign. Faded or gray hair is soon restored to it» original color, with the gloss and freshness of youth. Thin hair is thickened, falling hair checked, and baldness often, though not always, cured by its use. Noth ing can restore the hair, where the follicles are destroyed, or the glands atrophied and decayed. But such as remain can be saved for usefulness by this application. Instead of foul ing the hair with a pasty sediment, it will keep it clean and vigorous. Its occasional use will prevent the hair from turning gray or falling off, and consequently prevent baldness.
