A farmer in San Joaquin county, Cal., has invented a machine which at one opera tion cuts, threshes ami sacks grain at the rate of thirty acres a day. Four men and twelve horses do the work. The machine cuts a swath sixteen feet. As the sacks are tilled and sewn up they are dropped on the ground, and subsequently hauled to the warehouse. This prodigy of labor-saving machinery is not a theory or an experiment, but it is p.n actual operatioh. The cost of cutting, threshing and sacking is said to be only titty cents on an acre. ihr ^mnrratir irnrs. FRIDAY.............................. AUGUST 3, 1877. SORROW. Out of darkness cometh dawning.
