A uction .—The undersigned will of
fer at auction at their store in Jackson
ville their entire stock of General
Merchandise, consisting of dry goods,
clothing, boots and shoes, groceries,
hardware and many other articles too
numerous to mention. Sale will com
mence on Saturday, September 2, 1876,
and will he continued every Monday
and Saturday following, until all is
sold. The entire stock will positively

however, who have to pay the bills, would
prefer that the South was left a little more to
look after itself. They object to any un
necessary increase of their expenditures,
and think that by this time their brethren
of the warm and sunny lands ought to be
able to take care of themselves. They de
sire to live within their incomes.
The Tilden column is full, strong, united
and Hushed witli the confidence of victory.
With reform written on its banner, it is
marching against the hosts of Grantism, led
by Zack Chandler, with the amiable Hayes
as the nominal captain. The people mean
to drive out of their public offices the whole
herd cf Grants, Dents, Babcocks, Sharps
and Caseys, and to make Washington an
unsate place lor post-trader Belknap, Secor
Robeson, Landaulet Williams, Boss Shep
herd and the other thieves who have for
eight years rioted there. In the battle of re
form against corruption there can be only
one issue in a country which has not lost all
its sense of honor and detestation of public
thievery ami jobbery. When Grant departs
from the White 1 louse next March, Tilden
will move in and cleanse the Presidential
mansion of its fold associations. During
the next tour years the rascals who have SO
long plundered the treasury will rest at
home or behind the bars of a prison.
