Isaac .Sachs and 12 others, was received
ami read: “The undersigned citizens
of Jacksonville would respectfully call
the attention of your honorable body
to an existing nuisance on Oregon
street; caused by maintaining the
post and railing along tho sidewalk of
Fisher A Caro’s store, which is n»:vle
the hitching and standing place for
horses and mules, and as a consequence
filth and manure accumulates ami has
accumulated there and filled tip the
street, making it a dirty and filthy*
place, causing a very ofl’-nsive smell to
pass by ami to the residences on that
street ; and your petitioners a«x that
the nui«ance be abated, and the post
and railing removed.”
Mr. Sachs moved that the prayer of
the petition be granted, and the »Street
