We are informed by the contractor (Mr. Dobbins) that fully 6,000 workmen are now employed on the construction of the memorial building alone. We have applied for and obtained 2,100 square feet for the exhibitions of our State in the several departments, viz : mineral, mines and mining, 400 square feet; geolog­ ical exhibit, 100 square feet; agricultural, horticulture and textiles, 1,600 square feet.
