Senator Fay, as Chairman of the Demo cratic Executive Committee, introduced Hon. Ben. Hayden, of Polk county, to the audience. Mr. Hayden occupied about an hour and a half in an address, reviewing Judge Williams' speech on the Lock and Dam Bill, Swamp Land Act, Port land Police Bill and Litigant Law. Mr. Hayden delivered a most able and eloquent speech, and riddled the positions of the man with a mighty jaw, until there was nothing left of them. Hon. Geo. R. Helm was then introduced, and followed Mr. Hayden in a speech on national poli tics. Mr. Helm’s speech was replete with cogent argument and eloquent appeals, and confirmed our people in the opinions they had before entertained of his oratorical abilities. Senator Fay then followed in a short address on local politics. Every person who attended was pleased with the proceedings, except the few Bolters and Republi cans whi were present. During Mr. Fay’s speech, Booth, Bill Owen and a fellow named Hudson, attempted to inter rupt and make a disturbance ; but the retorts re ceived and the demonstration from the audience soon made them understand that it was not a healthy place for their kind. dy and Permanent Cure, the Rheumatism being entirely eradicated from the system.
