Occurred Today
Tbe funeral of tbe la'e Captain
Woodbrldge Geary, U 8 A, was held
lo this city today. Tbe body arrived
from San Francisco on tbe 3:54 over
land this morning, and was placed in
i' its at Armoiy Hall, attended by a
guard of honor, whioh remaiued ou
duty till tbe funeral service began nt
2:30 this afternoon.

the Presbyterian church, rinductaJ by
Dr. E. Thompson, of Corvallls, cs

city. The casket was decorated with
the American flag, and a profusion of
Dowers. A picture of tbe deceased

tbe large regimental tlag wrs draped
bi )k of the pulpit. The sermon by
Dr. Thompson wri one of tbe most
impressive ever listened to by a Eu
gene audience. L. G. Adair sang a
beautiful solo, "Neerer My Home,"

a cadet from Oregon In 1678 and
gaduated in being assigned to
the Nine' -nth infantry, stationed in
