Tho opera tlon wa performed ubout 12 o'clock Tuesday night and it seemed ul ll'st that it would be successful, hut the shock w is loo great for him to endure in his weakened condition ami soon he began to sink and continued grow ing weaker until a little after 2 o'clock ycMcrday nttcrnonu w hen he died. The body, accompanied by Miss Coin Itushiiell, the sister of the de ceased, arrived on Ihi afternoon' train. The interment will take placo in tho (lillcsple ceii,tery across the river tomorriw or Saturday. This was Mr liiishncU'H third attack of appendicitis, he laving sull'ered from the same disease last spring, fol lowed by , second attack during the summer. He was taken ill last Friday and the attack proved so violent that his only chance of recover lay iny hav ing an operation performed Immed iately. Accordingly, he went to Poit, Iand Tuesday for this purpose. Mr Rushuell wus a young man twenty four year of ago and had lived most of his life ill and about Eu gene.
