On the whole nature ii disposed to agree with the rhyme winch thus sums up the subject The moon and weather May change together, But change of moon Does not change the weather. Kven the halo round the moon has been discredited, for Mr. Lowe found that it was as often followed bv fino weather as by rain, and M'ensrs Marriott and Abercromby found that lunar halo immediately preceeded rain in thirty-four casus out of sixty-one. We always have a lingering hope that some future meterologist will disentangle the overlapping influences, and arrive some day at a definite proof that our satellite after all has some thing to do with the weather.
