The pupils attending the Central school bnilding marched to the Geary school grounds at 10 o'olock this forenoon where a programme of considerable length, consist ing of songs and recitations by th aoholars of th Geary school, wa rendered. Th tree selected for planting was a Eu ropean laroh, and two ohildien selected from each room plaoed earth about the root, after which it waa dedicated by an appropriate speech by Judge Walton. The flower voted by the Geary school a. the fa vorite .tat flower wa th wild lily. In th afternoon at 2 o'clock the Geary school marched to the Central building, where similar exercise to those rendered In the morning were opened by a piece by a juvenile band, com posed of pupils of the Geary school. Their playing would have done credit to much larger and older players and was warmly applauded. Tho tree planted was a flue sjieclmen of the same variety as that planted lu the forenoon. During its dedication Judge Walton made a few remarks.
