I Obituary. Died, in this city, Sunday, January 3, 1886, at 3;10 fj rv Mrs Martha Alice Hoult-Rilshaw aed 28 years. 10 months and 24 nays. The remains were taken to Hxrrishurg by Monday's train and interred iu the Masonic cemetery beside the grave of her mother. A large concourse of relatives and friends follow ed to her last resting place, Dr E It Geary, of thla place, preached the funeral sermon which was very impressive. Mrs Alice Relshaw was born in Lane coun ty, Oregon, February 7, 1857, and in a few ye ts the family moved to a farm near Harris burg. She was graduated at the Academy of the Sacred Heart, in ialem, Oregon. She was 'ii rled to Mr Frank IWlshaw of this city February 27, 1884, and since that she has lived in Lane county. Only two weeks prior to her demise a baby hoy was born to he,-, who is left innocent of his great loss. Mrs liehdiaw was universally lieloved mid the dread summons suddenly struck a chill to the luart of many a friend. And her true, pure woman hood, and noble qualities won the respect and h.ve of all, and increases the sorrow and regret with which her loss ia felt She leaves an orphaned child, widowed husband, a grief stricken father, mourning sisters and brother, who have the sympathy of the peoplo of Eugene in their great bereave meut Dexter Items.
