S. W. Tataafje, tha Milwaukee au-

wlieat crtfp of the United States. The
'Mtime.'re shows the prohahle yield of
fcrfring wheat 121,000,000 lmshels; win
ter, 210,000,000 hushuls; total spring
and winter, 331,000,000 bushols. From
these ficrurea it will be Ken that tho
crop of 1885, compared with 1884,
will show a shortage in winter wheat
of 100,000,000 buhhels; spring whoat,
22,000,000; total shortage, spring and
winter, 182,000,000. Tho average

Tho estimate shows a shortage, com

of i 30,000,000 bushels.
Mr. Talniadgn estimates the Oregon
wheat product at 17,000,000 bushels,
and places the Wauhington territory
yield at 5;000,000, while California is
credited with 28,000,000 bushels, or
30,000,000 more than any other whoat
producing state.
