R'p.,), whose term expired with the Forty Seventh Con gress, This great victory by a young man of only twenty-nine years of age ovrr a gentleman who had sorved ac ceptably in Congress, and who in age is many years his senior, is the greatest enconium that an appreciative! constitu ency could bestow on the sharacter and ability of Mr. Post. OTHER HONORS Mr. Post is prominent in other than political honors. He is a leading mem ber of the Knights of Honor, having been Grand Director (executive head), of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania for three years, and the representative from his State to the Supreme Lodge of the U nited States for four years, and in 1880 was one of the Presidential electors from Pennsylvania.
