Guard Supplement. Harness Shop. Notie and Judas Valley Items- ' The present prospects for good crops are very flattering. Mr. L'fke, of Cnrvallii, ha been visiting hi rciutivei in Judas Valley. Mr. Hays and his secretary, Eq. McCoy have commenced work on the Siusluw mail, ' Dr. Kennedy talks of leaving ua noon for Eastern Oregon, having sold his place here to Mr. Dice. ' The recent freqne'it showers did a great deal of good, as the grouud was very dry and needed rain badly. Grain and grass is much improved in Judas Valley by the late rains, and the fanners wear smiles all over their face. The school in Judas Valley is flimrUhiny finely under the mntiagemeiit of Miss Midge ly. She seems to be doing her best, and so is Johnny J. Mr. S. Jenkins ha gone to Corvallis, I am told, to superintend the opening and mark ing of bis goods, his first assistant hiving charge i f the ranch until he returns. Rev. J. C. Richardson, formerly of Judas Valley, is building a new residence in Eu gene, and is very anxious to have it finished before hii father arrives f.itin California. The literary society proves a success, both edifying and entertaining. ' Profesor J .
