dent, Linkville, iu Lake county, Ore
gon, is a peculiar place. It is siuated
on Link river, a few miles below Klam
ath Lake. Here are Hot springs, hot
cteeks, hot wells and hot whisky. All
the wells and springs are boiling hot
exoept one and that is cold water. Th
correspondent says: "We camped at
several oprtngs juEt ouUido of town,
where there was a place fur scalding
hogs. In another spring we boiled,
bcaus and cooked fruit in a few hour.
Among other strange things were some
cows that usually drank near the scald
ing hot springs. A grand place for a
China washliouse; waUT always warm
and so very soft that very littlo sonp is
needed."
