Yesterday afternoon, shortly after 9
o'clock, Sans Olsen, a bey about seven
teen years of age, employed in the lata
factory at Weidlor's mills, met with a
shocking death. The belting from the)

happened will never be known. The)
first idea that the other workmen
in the room had that there was any
thing was wrong was the flying piece.

horror, it was realized that the boy
had been caught in the machinery and
torn to pieces. The body was eut clean
iu two across the abdomen, the head
and trunk falling under the shaft, the
legs thrown several feet beyond, while
the left arm was found still hanging
to the fine shaft, every particle of cloth
ing having been torn from off his body.
It is thought that while he was holding
up the heavy belting over the shaft, the
sleeves of his coat caught, and ia an
instant he himself drawn over the rap
idly revolving shaft: dashed over the
roof of the building and thus torn to
pieces. The fragments of the body
wore gathered up by the workmen of
the mill and and taken to the house oo-
occupied by him and two brothers, both
of whom are employed at the mill, and
were at the time of the horrible death
of their younger brother engaged at
work in another part of the establish
