Tkc Grain. We are informed that in the Willamette Forks, in localities, that a small worm has been doing some damage to fall grain. The norm is found between the sec ond and third joints iu each stalk, and is plainly visible with the naked eye. As yet -tho injury is comparatively small, but if the worm should go into the third joint' it would damage tho crop greatly. We think, how ever, that the damage from this pest will be but trilling. The danger from rust has passed, and we are almost sure of au average crop. The late Spring grain is rather short, caused by the absence of rain in the latter part of June, The acreage is the largest ever sown in Lane. for Sale. One Champion thresher. One Haiue's header.
