Jail Delivery.
Three Men Escape from the
Lane County Jan.
Monday mornine hut th dicovcry was
made that the three prisoners confined n
county jail had escaped, the night previous,
by prying off one of the boards, with which
that institution is lined, and kicking one me
rotten old rock. All th tool they po
sessed consisted of a case knif nd ak
bludgeon sharpened to a poiut. The pris
oner were allowed t remain of night to
gether iu the large rom, froin which before,
several escapes have been made. A lie jail

iron, and it shows official negligence that
the prisoner were not c'oufined iu them of
niirht. The iirimner were all awaiting tne
action of the grand jury for offnnses, as fol
