Cleaver, Worthly.and Moon, who have been on a prospecting tour for several days on the upper waters of Mohawk .and Mill Creek, have just returned and bring flattering prospects for something rich in that Vicinity. They did not succeed iu finding any free gold but discovered several quart ledges that bid flair, judging from the crop- pings, to contain a large per cent, of silver, one e-necially which they named the "North Star" ledge, upon which they located claims to hold for future development The rock has genorally an ashy appearance, very soft and heavy. This ledge is situated in a high altitude, and is almost inaccesnblc to pedestrains ; further prospecting on it will be resumed soon and at an early date I will give to the readors of the Guard, and com muuity through your columns more minute details of late discoveries.
