The greet quantity, of cathartic pills, etc.,

his country had been productive of immensely
norc mischief then is generully mifpectea.
True, the physic unlopds the bowels, but in so
doing ita lu-tiou tends to diminish the tone of

Joy's Vegetable Saraaparilla was designed to
fill lust such' & contingency as the doctor's ar
raignment anticipates, viz. : instead of being a
povex'ful mineral purgative, it is a mild vege
table laxative, that, owing to its solvent aud
gentle stimulating properties, is so certain a re
lief in constipation that it has been given away
to hundreds, not to be paid for unless it was of
positive benefit. It replaces constipation almost
immediately with a natural easy habit, aud is
so mild that, unlike drastic purgatives, it can
be taken indefinitely with perfect freedom and
-fety.

FINAL RlirilllT oyGBASD jrrftY.
To Honorable M. L. Pipes, Circuit Judge:
AVe the Grand Jury of Benton county
submit this our final report:
We have inquired into all crimes commit
ted or triable in this county that have been
brought to our kuovvledge and have pre
sented them to the court when required by
law or justified by the evidence before us.
We ha-Je examined into the condition and'
management of the county fail and we re
commend that some provision be made by
the coimty for the proper keeping of its'
prisoners.
Persons are placed in the connty jail to
await the determination of a jury as to their
guili or innocence,- and pending that decis
ion they should, in our opiuiou, be kept in a'
place of safe confinement, but not in one un
fit for human beings.
We have visited the niBces pertaining to'
the courts of justice in the county and find
them kept in a neat, orderly and satisfac
tory maimer.
And now having completed our labors,'
we ask to be finally discharged.
The Grand Jury of Benton County,
By J. II. Blair, Foreman.
