Evangelical Church. The third quarterly
meeting will be held over Sabbath. Rev.

ing at Evergreen Saturday evening;' at
Beulali Sunday at 10:30 a. in., and here in
Corvaliis in the evening at 7 o'clock.
T. 0. Case, on Sunday, was called to the
bedside of his mother, who has been
dangerously ill at htr home six miles south
of Lebanon in .Linn county. tie toon a
carriage for there about 7 o'clock Sunday
night. Upon his return on Tuesday he
reported her some better. ! She is also the
mother of Mrs. John C. Booth, of Saitui.
At and near the summit on the coast
range west of here snow is reported, about
three feet deep. There is but litile this
side of Harris and on the other side it does
iiot extend much below Nashville. ..
An attachment has been levied on the
building belonging to M. W. Wilkins,
where the Corvaliis market is located, by
Hartlees & Davisson for $250 and costs, etc
Several lights occurred in this city on
Wednesday night last, principally in Zise's
saloon. No arrests were made on account
of the police being asleep, it is supposed.
The Bentcn county horticultural society
will Hold their regular monthly meeting to
morrow, Jan. 25th at 1:30 p.- m.,' in their
room in the court house.

In the matter of the establishment of
election . precinct No. 21 (Big Elk) it was
ordered by the court that such precinct No.
21 be established, with voting place to be
at school house in said precinct.
In the matter of proposed county road
leading from a point at the northeast corner
of F. Voile's farm, Benton county, to a
poiiit on the county road known as the Cor
valiis and Albany road at intersection of
another road. After carefully considering
the matter the court ordered that the
prayer of the petition be not granted.
