On last Saturday the match race between Ross's mare, Maria, aud Sturgill's horse, Wild Weasel, came off over the Baker City Track, accor ding to previous notice given, and was won by the horse. Single dash half mile. Time 51 seconds. The Mare, it is claimed, had the start by some ten or twelve feet, but be fore tliey reached the end of the first quarter the horse passed her aud took the inside track, and continued to open the distance between them until at home where the judges gave him the race by sixty feet, tho liorso coming home under a strong p u ll.— Wild Weasel done pretty running, jumping far and gathering q u ick .— There is no doubt but what he is a N e x t w e e k we shall publish, by request, a long letter from Win. F. McCrary, of our city, in felatiou to Spiritualism.
