Senate's ultimatum is the talk of the
day. What does it amount to, and
whither will it lead ? In reality It

expression of an opinion by a small
portion of tha Senate.

sign, but after the House has finished
its investigation of the telephone busi
ness, he savs he will take steps to

tion with the Pan Electric company,
in a way that cannot fail to secure
the approbation of those who really
desire to be satisfied.

and while there were shown through
