It was soon ascertained that he had been lying ill at "Little Jim's" stora fur some tiaio, and not getting better that Chinese dignitary and one of hu men carried him down to this pig pen in the rear of another Chinese den, the eyeniag before, and left him there to die. Coroner Davis empanelled a jurvconsUting of tho fullowiug persons : tleo. Humphrey, E. R. Skipwortb, R. A. Stratford, I. G. Denny, B. W. Cun diff and K. A. Parker. Witnns testified to the circumstances stated above, and Dr. J. L. Hill, after examining the body testi fied that the death of the deceased wss caused by dropsy of the heart. which bad been hurried to the fital termination by ex posure, and the jury rendered a verdict in accordance with this testimony. The body was buried on Sabbath, afternoon, by order of the Coroner, but not a single Chinaman attended.
