Sun day School la-st Sundiy evening, in the brown Methodist church, was certainly a credit to all concerned. From the opening address, by Judge F. M. Miller, which, by the way, was neat and appropriate, to the closing song by the whole school, was complete in every part. And we believe, in saying this much, we - but express the' unanimous (sentiments of the appreciative audience who filled all the available space in the edifice on that occasion. "Where each done bin or her part so well, it would be hardly fair to particularize, but we will take occasion to say that the dec lamation by Miss Mary Powell was just a notch above anything" we eveq had the pleasure of hearing in this city, and could scarcely lie excelled any where, and marks the young lady as possessing rare elocutionary power. The quartette were excellently rendered, at d the soU.s, one by Mrs. F. M. Miller, and the other by Miss Annie Griffin, were exquisite, while the duett, by lit tle Miss Lottie and Hiram Griffin, if rendered anywhere else but in the church, would have brought down the hcdsc tumultuons'y. The concert was certainly a grand success throughout. The first Sunday in next month another t-ift,ilar concert will be given. We should like them belter if they came ottener. Communicated. Nothing, we believe, was broken, ex. cepting a few tumb'ers. Cigars were emptied from the boxes among the qvilled liquor on the floor. Another is that 'twas the Good Templars, and a third is, that it was the friends of NeaJ, who hoped thereby to create sympathy for him. "You iays your money and you takes vour choice." AX OVERSIGHT.
