Mr. Young was born in Pennsylvania ; removed to Ohio when a small boy; from ther.ce to Iowa in 1S44-, and from thence to this State in 1S52. He had been a resident of this city since 1853. Deceased was tlic f itlier of Sam'l E. Young, Esq., and lrs. E. F.Sox, of this city. Fmieral services transpired at the late residence of deceased, on Ferry Itetwcen Third and Fourth streets, on Sunday morning last. Rev. S. G. Judge Strahan exjiects to move, into his new building soon. B Tnestlay evening as Judge John Kolsay and W. S. McFadden were journeying towanl this city Irom Corvallis, and when in the vicinity of Oak Creek, one ot the tugs of the off horse became detached from the single-tree, which demoralized , the team, which ran' away. No. 2, Monday evening, the Company resolved to go to Portland on Monday. July 3d. A committee was appointed to. look after the erection of a new house for the use of the .Company. The Concert at College Chapel last Friday night was one of the most delightful entertainments ever given in tlie city, meeting the universal approba tion of all in attendance.
