It seems that both parties in the

jury. Tilton's counsel say that as a ver
dict for six cents was as much as they
v could expect at most, the disagreement
, of the jury is as good as a verdict, and
that it relieves Tiltou of the calumnv
and aspersion that found easy vent in
fly mouth Church circles, etc. Beech
er says he looks upon the result of the
trial as giving him all the vindication it
was iu the power of the court to give ;
that be is good for twenty years work
yet, and before that is done malice will
have spent itself, ignorance will have
