Machine Sales for 1878 shows that our "sales last year am ounted to 232.444 (two hundred and thirty two thousand, four hundred and forty-fourj Machines, Ihhus a )are in crease over the sales of the previous year US7-.) The table also shows that our sales Esc ceel tliose of any other Company . for the. period named, by the number of 1 13. Machines, or nearly double those of anv other Company. It mav be further stated that the sales of 1873, 'as compared with those of 1873, show a relatively larirer increase, beyona the sales of other makers, than of any other year. For instance in 1872 we sold 4",f)f)0 more Machines than any other Company, where as, in ls73, the sales were 113,254 Machines in 1'xeess of our Highest Competitor. These flgnres are all the more remark able, for the leason that the sales of the principal Companies in 1873 are' I.-ss Ih-iii tltelr sales In lS72"r whereas, as has been shown, our sales Have largely Increased. The aecpunt of sales is from.vv-n rdinix made to the owners of the Sewing Machine Paten's. It will hardlv be denied, that tbp superi ority of the SINGER MACHINES is fully demonstrated- at all events that their popularity in tlie household is unques tionable. Increase So.
