Mr. Young, who will hereafter conduct
tlm business, understands the wants
and desires of this community in the
line of general merchandise thorough
ly, and pursuing the old course of the
late firm, will spare no pains to ac
oominodate and please all. The busi
ness hereafter will be conducted on the
ready pay system, and goods can and
will be sold much cheaper under the
new "lay out" than could possibly be
afforded by the long credit system.
We commend the new management to
the patronage of this community, and
wish him tlie fullest success.
Changes. R. Cheadle will remove
bis goods to the old corner store, now
occupied by Gcarheart as a butcher

building near cornerof Broadalbln and
First Btrcets, where lie proposes to
teach short-hand writing. We believe
the Protessor to be well qualified, and
our young people could not put their
leisure time in to better advantage than
by attending tiie school. A good
short-hand reporter always commands
large wages. See ad. elsewhere.
Dental Chair Bracket. Dr. Geo.
W. ftray, of this city, has invented a
handsome and convenient lirtle imple
ment which he ciils a "Dental Chnir
Bracket, "a model of which he exhibit

should think it was a most valuabf
article fora dentist, and we are certain
it shows a large inventive faculty on
tlie part ot tlie Doctor. Dr. Gray has
applied foi a patent, and we hope he
may obtain it. and that it may prove a
valuable one to him, financially.
