Circuit Court Attendance at
Court during the present week has
heen quite good in point of numbers,
considering the weather. The case of
J. U. Mar excited more than usual in
terest, and until the jury' verdict of
guilty," was rendered, much conjec

some it was thought that the testimo
ny failed to prove a malicious inten
tion, which the law renders impera
tive in order to constitute a clear case
ot perjury. There was no doubt about

ter the officer to our ten thousand dol
lar jail, to spend ten days.
